Passive Drugs Dog Operation - Station Approach E17

Good afternoon Markhouse residents,

On Wednesday 18th February 2026, officers from the Waltham Forest Town Centre Team, supported by Neighbourhood officers, councillors and the ASB team from Waltham Forest, conducted a pre-planned dog operation focusing on Walthamstow Town Centre, Station Approach, and Leyton Underground Station.

The operation was highly successful, resulting in four arrests for various offences, including a wanted offender circulated by Interpol in Romania, domestic common assault, and two fail‑to‑appear offences. Officers also conducted 42 stop and searches, four of which resulted in positive finds for cannabis.
